New Delhi—According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), an alert for heavy rainfall is expected over various parts of India, with unseasonal monsoon activity bringing about disruptions. Western Disturbances and thunderstorms are forecasted in several areas, posing risks particularly during sensitive times like April.
Regional Weather Forecasts
Arunachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu: Heavy rains have already disturbed daily life, causing considerable inconvenience to residents. Local authorities have issued alerts for continued wet weather, advising people to adjust their plans accordingly.
Punjab and Haryana: The meteorological department has issued an alert indicating unstable weather conditions, with light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds anticipated in this region on April 7-8. A yellow alert is also expected for Bihar, with potential hailstorms and high wind speeds.
Delhi: Expect partly cloudy skies with daytime temperatures ranging from 33°C to 35°C, and minimal overnight cooling to 18°C to 20°C. Surface winds are forecasted to blow primarily from the west during the morning hours.
