The weather conditions in the national capital region (NCR) of Delhi have seen a dramatic shift, with heavy rains and thunderstorms affecting several areas, including Noida. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), this sudden weather change is expected to continue until tomorrow, 5th June.

Noida Sees Intense Rainfall and Strong Winds

Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds has been reported in Noida, where gusts of up to 70 km/hr have been recorded. This is creating challenges for commuters and residents alike as they navigate flooded streets and potential hazards. The IMD has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ for these regions for the next two days, advising people to stay indoors if possible.

The impact of this weather change on local infrastructure is significant. Power outages are likely due to lightning strikes and strong winds, while traffic may face disruptions as areas report heavy flooding. Authorities have urged people in Noida and Greater Noida to take precautions and avoid going outside unless absolutely necessary.

According to the weather forecast, the maximum temperature today will reach only 38°C, providing some respite from Delhi's scorching summer heat. The minimum is expected to dip to around 28°C. In the afternoon, winds are set to blow at speeds of 40-50 km/hr, with periods of light rainfall and thunderstorms expected throughout the night.

The IMD further predicts that similar conditions will continue on June 5th, with a maximum temperature around 37°C and minimums staying consistent. The region is bracing for another day of heavy rain and thunderstorms, making it crucial to heed safety guidelines issued by local authorities.
