In preparation for the upcoming wet season, TGSPDCL CMD V. Patil recently launched an intensive site assessment as part of the broader Monsoon Preparedness Programme. This initiative, often referred to as the “Poles and Lines Special Drive – Walk Along the Line,” aims to fortify the local electrical infrastructure against potential weather-related damages.

Enhancing Power Reliability in Banjara Hills

During the surprise inspection conducted this past Friday, the TGSPDCL CMD focused his attention on the Sagar Society feeder area located in Banjara Hills. The official scrutinized the 11 kV power line situated near Mugdha Silks, where he identified several network deficiencies. Following the assessment, he provided clear directives to both field staff and senior officials to ensure immediate rectification of these issues.

As part of his commitment to improving regional power stability, V. Patil also visited the vicinity of Road No. 10, located behind the Jubilee Hills Club. There, he personally supervised ongoing tree-trimming operations. The objective of these efforts is to clear encroaching branches from overhead lines, a critical step in preventing common monsoon-related power interruptions and safeguarding the public.

Infrastructure Review and Consumer Focus

The TGSPDCL official emphasized that proactive maintenance is the key to a reliable energy network. A comprehensive line-to-line survey was conducted to evaluate the current health of various electrical assets, including electricity poles, HT and LT lines, and distribution transformers. The review also covered essential components like jumpers and service connections, which are vital for a smooth power supply.

During interactions with the local maintenance teams, the CMD urged linemen to maintain a high level of vigilance. He stressed that responsiveness to consumer complaints is a top priority, directing the team to resolve any reported service issues with urgency. By engaging directly with field staff and acknowledging their operational challenges, the leadership aims to boost the overall quality and dependability of the electrical infrastructure across the region throughout the rainy season.

Ensuring uninterrupted power delivery remains the core mission for the utility as it navigates the seasonal demands of the monsoon. The ongoing efforts in Banjara Hills serve as a model for how targeted, proactive inspections can mitigate risks and enhance utility services for residents.
