PM Kisan: ₹2000 Expected in Farmers' Accounts by End of June

Highlights

  • PM Kisan 23rd installment anticipation by late June
  • Approximately 90 million farmers to benefit
  • Completion of e-KYC and land verification mandatory
  • Previously 22nd installment released on March 13, 2026

Approximately 90 million farmers enrolled under India's PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme could soon see a windfall, as the 23rd installment of ₹2000 is anticipated to be credited by the end of June. The transfer, which will benefit nearly 9 crores of beneficiaries, is expected to occur in the last week of this month.

Previously, the 22nd installment was released on March 13, 2026, and like its predecessor, farmers must complete certain mandatory tasks before receiving their installments. These include e-KYC verification, land documentation, and registration with the scheme. Failure to comply may lead to delays in the release of funds.

Completing E-KYC is Mandatory

One of the most critical requirements for farmers associated with the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme is completing the e-KYC process. This biometric verification step is essential and must be completed to avoid delays or holds on fund transfers.

Farmer beneficiaries whose e-KYC is incomplete or delayed should take immediate action. They can visit their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) for assistance, where they will undergo a biometric-based e-KYC verification. Alternatively, the process can be completed online through the scheme's official portal at pmkisan.gov.in using an OTP-based system.

So far, farmers have received 22 instalments of ₹2000 each under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The government ensures a total annual transfer of ₹6,000 in three ₹2000 installments every four months throughout the year.
