Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP National President, N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Thursday highlighted the importance of continuing the legacy of N. T. Rama Rao, often referred to as 'NTR'. Speaking at a significant gathering known as Mahanaadu, Naidu emphasized that carrying forward NTR's ideals is the collective responsibility of all Telugu-speaking people.

"Society is the temple and people are the gods," recalled Naidu, quoting NTR's philosophy. This guiding ideology will continue to inspire and shape the TDP party's policies and mission. He noted that launching a political party and forming a government just nine months later was an unprecedented feat in Indian politics.

Bharat Ratna Honours for NTR

During his speech, Naidu praised NTR as a legendary figure who has left an indelible mark on the cultural and political landscape of Andhra Pradesh. He stated that people across the state are demanding that NTR be conferred the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour, for his outstanding contributions to society.

Naidu also mentioned that as part of fulfilling NTR's vision, 33 percent reservation for women in party positions was announced by Nara Lokesh. This measure underscores the commitment to include more women in political leadership roles within their organization and aims to uphold NTR's principles.

The Mahanaadu resolution unanimously urged the Central government to honour NTR with the Bharat Ratna for his unparalleled achievements in both cinema and politics, enriching not only Andhra Pradesh but the nation as a whole.
