The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a brief hiatus for Delhi's soaring temperatures, but the city is gearing up for bright sunny days with strong winds.

Heavy Rain Alert in Uttarakhand: The IMD warns of heavy rainfall across several districts including Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Nainital, Chamoli, Champawat, Almora, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh. Thunderstorms are likely to bring significant relief from the heat with gusty winds.

Thunderstorms in Uttar Pradesh: Several districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh could see intermittent rains accompanied by strong winds, particularly in regions like Gautam Buddha Nagar, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh, Mathura, Kanpur, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj. Western Uttar Pradesh is expected to remain dry.

Heatwave in Action: In the Delhi-NCR region, temperatures are set to rise, with a 3-4-degree increase anticipated by tomorrow afternoon. According to meteorologists, residents should prepare themselves for a hot and windy day ahead as conditions shift to more favorable weather patterns.

With increased temperatures across districts like East Champaran, Patna, Gaya, Jehanabad, Buxar, Siwan, Saran, Bhojpur, Gopalganj, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Madhubani, Purnia, Kishanganj, Araria, Katihar, and Bhagalpur, residents are advised to stay hydrated and protected from the heat.

Northwest Thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir: The region is under a thunderstorm alert, with heavy rains expected in Srinagar, Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian, Baramulla, Anantnag, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, Ramban, and Ganderbal.
