  • Alleged Irregularities Spark Outrage

Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), has issued a stark warning to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. If Pradhan does not resign by June 13 due to alleged irregularities in examinations and recruitment tests, CJP will stage protests across various states and cities.

Peaceful Agitation and Student Involvement

The CJP, an exclusively Gen Z movement founded as an online satirical platform, conducted a peaceful agitation at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 6. The event, aimed at pressuring Pradhan to resign, saw students from different parts of the country coming together under the "cockroach mask" theme.

Dipke stressed that while earlier agitations in neighboring countries were marked by unrest, CJP's movement remains peaceful and will not be associated with any political party. He said, 'We will not stop until Pradhan takes moral responsibility for ruining the future of over one crore students.' According to Dipke, if Pradhan does not resign after local protests, larger agitations will follow in New Delhi.

In a video posted on X, he stated that ongoing demonstrations in states will continue and culminate with more significant protests at Jantar Mantar. 'Even bigger protests will take place, but they too will be peaceful,' Dipke affirmed.

Peacefulness Amid Agitation

Dipke clarified that while the CJP's agitation in New Delhi was crowded, it remained a peaceful event. He dismissed comparisons to agitations in Bangladesh and Nepal, saying, 'Those who compare our movement with neighboring countries should know that ours is about maintaining peace.' He also mentioned that youths from all states participated in the Jantar Mantar agitation.

The CJP garnered over 22 million followers on Instagram, a testament to its growing influence among Gen Z. The online campaign began in May and issued calls for students to participate in protests across India on Saturday over alleged irregularities. Protests at Jantar Mantar saw participants wearing posters demanding Pradhan's resignation, as well as slogans criticizing the BJP's "Hindu-Muslim" politics.
