In a significant political directive, Nara Lokesh, the working president of the Telugu Desam Party (TD), has called upon party members to actively promote the accomplishments of the current alliance government. Speaking during a video conference from the party’s central office in Mangalagiri, Lokesh emphasized the necessity of a statewide outreach campaign to ensure that information regarding various developmental and welfare programs reaches every single household.
Launching the Alliance Government Outreach Campaign
The proposed grassroots initiative is scheduled to take place over a 45-day period, starting from June 25 and concluding on August 10. Lokesh instructed all party officials, including members of parliament, state legislators, and local booth-level workers, to engage directly with the public during this intensive effort. The primary objective of this campaign is to inform citizens about the government's ongoing developmental projects and welfare schemes, which are central to the current administration's agenda.
To facilitate this communication, party cadres have been directed to distribute specialized pamphlets and informative booklets. These materials will detail key initiatives such as Talliki Vandanam, the Deepam-2 scheme providing free LPG cylinders, the NTR Bharosa pensions of ₹4,000, and the Annadata Sukhibhava program designed to support the state’s agricultural community.
Strategic Communication and Voter Engagement
Highlighting the importance of effective messaging, Lokesh noted that a perceived failure to adequately highlight past achievements and counter opposition rhetoric had previously impacted the party's electoral outcomes. By positioning Nara Chandrababu Naidu as a primary driver of growth, the party aims to reshape public perception through consistent and transparent communication of these policy successes.
The campaign will also be conducted in close coordination with members of the JS and BJP, following directives issued by the Chief Minister. Additionally, Lokesh discussed the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He urged party functionaries to remain highly vigilant throughout this process to ensure that no legitimate voter is excluded from the records. Local legislators have been tasked with maintaining constant communication with booth-level agents to resolve any field-level issues immediately. For more complex challenges, the party has established a dedicated Voter Verification Cell at its central headquarters to provide support and oversight, reinforcing the commitment to electoral integrity as the outreach efforts begin across all parliamentary and assembly constituencies.
