Hyderabad, May 26, 2026: The Telangana Government's commitment to sustainable industrial growth has taken a significant stride with the Telangana MSME Greening Summit – A RAMP Initiative. Organised by Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH) and the Hyderabad S&T Cluster, this event marked an important milestone in promoting green manufacturing across the state's MSME sectors.

The Role of Technology and Policy in Greening MSMEs

During the summit, D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Industries, ITE&C and Commerce and Legislative Affairs, unveiled key tools including the Telangana MSME Greening Portal and the MSME Assessment Toolkit. These initiatives aim to facilitate easier access to information and resources concerning the RAMP (Rapid Adoption & Manufacturing of Technology) programme, empowering local industrial players.

Further contributions came from senior officials who launched sectoral technology compendiums. Focused discussions were held among policymakers, government representatives, MSME operators, industries, financial institutions, tech providers, startups, and ecosystem partners to deliberate on strategies that promote sustainable industrial transformation. This collaborative approach underscores Telangana's dedication to fostering a resilient and green economy.

Sridhar Babu emphasized the pivotal role of MSMEs in achieving Telangana's economic vision: 'Rising Telangana.' By facilitating their transition towards greener technologies, RAMP will enhance resource efficiency and global competitiveness. The launch of the MSME Greening Dashboard reflects a commitment to leveraging technology-driven governance for effective clean industrial transformation.

Nikhil Chakravarthy, Director of Industries at the Government of Telangana, highlighted that the RAMP initiative's convergence strategy will involve multiple stakeholders working in tandem. This comprehensive approach will fortify MSMEs' competitiveness and sustainability across the state. Tools like these are essential for building a future-ready economy.
