Greenvize's innovative hydrogen stove offers a sustainable alternative to traditional gas stoves. Efficiently converting water into fuel, this eco-friendly solution promises to revolutionize cooking in regions experiencing gas shortages.

Revolutionizing Cooking: Introducing the Plug-and-Play Hydrogen Stove

Highlights

  • Hydrogen Fuel Production: Converts 100 ml of distilled or RO water and 1 kWh of electricity into sufficient hydrogen for six hours of cooking.
  • No Smoke Emissions: Emits only water vapor, making it an excellent choice for purifying air as well as efficient cooking.
  • Eco-Friendly: Aligns with India's National Green Hydrogen Mission and reduces dependency on traditional gas cylinders.
  • User-Friendly: Compact design and simple knob operation allow instant generation of fuel without complex setup.

Hydrogen cooking stoves are gaining popularity with their unique features, particularly in areas dealing with gas shortages. Indian company Greenvize has recently unveiled a compact and user-friendly hydrogen-powered cooktop. This innovation marks a significant shift towards sustainable kitchen solutions.

Greenvize's Hydrogen Stove: A Green Solution

The Greenvize stove uses water as its primary ingredient for generating fuel through an innovative proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer. Users simply need to turn a knob, and the system produces hydrogen instantly. This feature makes it highly convenient, especially in environments without traditional gas storage or plumbing systems.

No Gas Needed: Unlike conventional stoves that require gas cylinders, this hydrogen stove doesn't rely on any external fuel source. It converts tap water into hydrogen and uses it for cooking, significantly reducing dependency on flammable gases.

How Does the Hydrogen Stove Work?

To generate sufficient amounts of hydrogen for cooking, around 100 ml of distilled or reverse osmosis (RO) water and about one kilowatt hour (kWh) of electricity are required. The stove can operate continuously for up to six hours with this setup. Additionally, the system can be linked to solar panels, further enhancing its eco-friendliness.

No Smoke Emissions: Perhaps one of the most remarkable features is that it emits only water vapor and oxygen. This makes it an ideal solution not just for cooking but also for improving indoor air quality.

Differences from Induction Stoves

The Greenvize hydrogen stove operates by converting electricity into hydrogen, which then powers the cooking process, making it more efficient compared to traditional induction stoves. While both use electrical energy, the hydrogen method reduces overall energy consumption and provides a cleaner cooking experience.

This innovation aligns with India's National Green Hydrogen Mission, ensuring sustainable development while providing a practical solution for household and commercial kitchens.
