The authorities aim to verify the circumstances surrounding the death of Ketan Agarwal, who was discovered at the base of the historical monument on June 18. While the case was initially recorded as an accidental death based on the primary statement provided by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, subsequent investigations prompted a reclassification to a murder inquiry. This shift followed the discovery of various inconsistencies in testimonies, along with evidence retrieved from CCTV footage, digital records, and call logs which implicated a second individual, Chetan Chaudhury.

The exercise was held in the direct presence of Siya Goyal, aged 20, who is currently in police custody alongside 22-year-old Chetan Chaudhury. Both individuals are remanded until June 29.
