A tragic Lohagad Fort fall incident has claimed the life of a 26-year-old man from Pune. The victim, identified as Ketan Vishal Agarwal, a resident of Gahunje, was enjoying a trekking trip with his fiancée when the fatal accident occurred. The young man, who was a director in his family's real estate business, was looking forward to his upcoming wedding in November.
According to local authorities, the group had traveled to the historic site in Maval tehsil on Thursday morning to celebrate the birthday of the victim's fiancée. While attempting to capture photographs near a cliff edge at approximately 10:30 am, Ketan Vishal Agarwal reportedly slipped. He plummeted nearly 400 feet into the deep valley below, sustaining fatal injuries upon impact.
Investigation into the Lohagad Fort Fall
The authorities were quickly alerted to the emergency. Inspector Dinesh Tayde of the Lonavala Rural police station stated that powerful, gusting winds were prevalent at the fort during the time of the tragedy, which may have contributed to the accidental Lohagad Fort fall. The victim's family, who had already finalized arrangements for a wedding celebration at a palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan, are now dealing with the profound loss.
