Hyderabad, September 28 - The sedition case against former BRS MLA Balka Suman has been transferred from Nampally Police Station to Banjara Hills Police Station. This shift occurred on Wednesday following the original registration of FIR at Nampally on September 26th based on a complaint by B Anand, a Junior Inspector at Singareni Bhavan.

The case stems from Suman's controversial remarks during a meeting at Telangana Bhavan in Banjara Hills. Since the meeting venue is under Banjara Hills jurisdiction, the transfer of the case was deemed necessary.

Incidents and Arrest Details

Suman, who was arrested on September 24th, faces allegations that he incited followers to commit acts of sabotage on railway networks, set Singareni Bhavan ablaze, and conspired against the state. Police produced him before a magistrate at his residence and remanded him in judicial custody for 14 days.

The case has been formally filed under Sections 326(G), 55, 61(2), 351(3), 353(1)(B) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with provisions of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.

According to reports, the police are expected to file a petition in Nampally Court today seeking three additional days of custody for further questioning.
