Chief Minister N Chandrababu announced the launch of Yoga Andhra 2026, a state-wide initiative aimed at engaging one crore people in yoga activities for 15 days, from June 7 to June 20. This ambitious campaign seeks to embed yoga as part of daily life and promote it across educational institutions.
The event is set to cover diverse districts with special themes for various communities, like the police in NTR district and farmers in Konaseema. Key locations such as Undavalli Caves and Srisailam will host yoga events, blending wellness with tourism.
Significantly, Yoga Andhra 2026 has been supported by multiple renowned organizations, including Art of Living, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Brahma Kumaris, and Baba Ramdev. To facilitate wider outreach, more than 168 educational yoga videos have been developed.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of integrating yoga into schools to build healthier habits in children. He noted that around two million certificates were issued during Yoga Andhra 2025, with 1.53 lakh trainers facilitating activities at over 1.33 lakh venues.
