Andhra Pradesh Releases ₹2,711.79 Crore for July NTR Bharosa Pensions

The state government of Andhra Pradesh has officially disbursed ₹2,711.79 crore to facilitate the distribution of NTR Bharosa pensions for the month of July. This significant financial allocation is set to benefit approximately 6,219,648 eligible recipients across the region. The move highlights the administration’s ongoing commitment to providing consistent financial aid to vulnerable sections of society, including the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities.

Kondapalli Srinivas, the state minister for rural poverty alleviation, confirmed the release of these funds, emphasizing that the distribution process is scheduled to begin on the morning of July 1. By maintaining the established protocol of delivering pensions on the first day of each month, the authorities aim to ensure that beneficiaries receive timely support without unnecessary delays.

Expanding Welfare Support Across Andhra Pradesh

Beyond the primary disbursement, the government has also moved to extend the reach of its social welfare initiatives. New approvals have been granted for additional widow pension beneficiaries, ensuring that more citizens are brought under the safety net of the NTR Bharosa program. Specifically, 7,792 new recipients within the Spouse Pension category are slated to receive their benefits starting from the beginning of July. To support this expansion, an additional sum of ₹3.12 crore has been sanctioned by the state government.

Minister Kondapalli Srinivas noted that with the latest funding injection, the cumulative expenditure on pension distributions since the current administration took office has reached a substantial ₹68,598.44 crore. This figure underscores the high priority placed on social security and the sustained effort to uphold the NTR Bharosa initiative as a cornerstone of provincial welfare policy.
