Two fatalities, including a child and a student, were reported in the accident.
The crash involved an APSRTC Ultra Deluxe bus and a lorry in Kadapa.
Sixteen passengers and the lorry driver sustained injuries and are receiving treatment.
State Transport Minister M Ramprasad Reddy has ordered an inquiry into road safety.
