A tragic bus-lorry collision occurred early Monday in Kadapa district, resulting in the loss of two lives and leaving 16 others injured. The accident involved an APSRTC Ultra Deluxe bus traveling from Tirupati to Kadapa, which collided with a freight truck near Udumuvaripalli village.

According to local police reports, the incident took place during the early hours, specifically between 1:00 AM and 1:15 AM. The impact of the bus-lorry collision was severe, causing significant damage to the right side of the bus where approximately six seats were located. Among the deceased, reports confirmed the victims included a child and a student, marking a heartbreaking start to the week for the families involved.

There were 27 passengers aboard the APSRTC vehicle when the crash occurred. Emergency response teams were dispatched promptly to the scene near Pullampeta. The 16 injured passengers, along with the driver of the lorry, were immediately transported to the Rajampet Government Hospital and other surrounding medical facilities to receive urgent care.
