Railway travelers are facing significant disruptions to their planned journeys, as numerous train cancellations have been announced due to ongoing maintenance work. For passengers who may have booked tickets well in advance, these schedule changes are understandably frustrating. It is essential for all commuters to stay informed about the latest train cancellations to avoid arriving at the station only to discover their service is no longer operational.

Understanding Impacted Train Services and Maintenance Schedules

The Northern Railway authorities have announced critical repair and maintenance operations at the Bareilly station yard. This necessary infrastructure improvement will take place from July 5 through August 3, leading to a temporary blockage that impacts several routes. Passengers are advised to check the updated status of their specific trains to confirm if they remain active or have been affected by these service adjustments.

Regarding the specific schedule, the Bareilly-Lokmanya Tilak Express is set to remain suspended on July 11, 18, 25, and August 1. Furthermore, the Bareilly-Ujjain Express will not operate on July 8, 15, 22, and 29. Conversely, the Ujjain-Bareilly Express will be grounded on July 9, 16, 23, and 30. Additionally, all Bareilly-Delhi and Delhi-Bareilly Express services will be completely canceled between July 5 and August 3.

In addition to the Bareilly station project, track strengthening work is currently underway on the Gaura-Suvansa-Badshahpur-Nibhapur-Janghai section under the Lucknow division. A non-interlocking block, scheduled from June 23 to June 30, will result in further service changes. Consequently, the Pratapgarh-Varanasi Special (55142) and the Banaras-Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh Special (55141) are fully canceled during this period. Furthermore, the Prayagraj Sangam-Ghazipur City (65118) and the Ghazipur City-Prayagraj Sangam (65117) will not be running from June 28 to June 30.

Mitigation Efforts and Passenger Advisory

To help mitigate the inconvenience caused by these widespread train cancellations, railway officials have implemented measures to boost capacity on other operational routes. The administration will be attaching extra coaches to several high-demand services to accommodate displaced travelers. This includes additional sleeper coaches on the Ayodhya Cantt-Anand Vihar and Anand Vihar-Ayodhya Cantt routes. Similar arrangements are being made for the Pratapgarh-Delhi Padmavat Express and its return service, as well as on various other connections to and from Ayodhya Cantt.

The Railways strongly urges all passengers to regularly verify their train status before heading to the station. Utilizing official railway portals or inquiry services is the most reliable way to remain updated on these evolving travel changes and to ensure a smoother transit experience despite the current maintenance challenges.
