Political representatives in Telangana are ramping up their efforts to ensure the integrity of the voter base during the current special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Engala Venkat Ram Reddy, the president of the Hanamkonda District Congress Committee and chairman of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (Kuda), has issued a directive to Congress Booth Level Agents (BLAs), urging them to remain highly vigilant throughout this critical process.

The call to action was delivered during a specialized awareness seminar held at Satya Sai Gardens in Madikonda. The event was specifically organized for BLAs representing the Wardhannapet Assembly constituency. The primary objective of this session was to equip party field representatives with the necessary technical and legal understanding required to navigate the complexities of the special intensive revision (SIR) exercise effectively.

Ensuring Electoral Integrity Through Vigilance

During his address, Engala Venkat Ram Reddy emphasized the pivotal role that BLAs play in maintaining both accuracy and transparency in the management of electoral rolls. He highlighted that the special intensive revision (SIR) is fundamental to guaranteeing that all eligible citizens have the opportunity to exercise their democratic right to vote. Furthermore, he tasked the agents with working diligently at the grassroots level to identify and include all eligible voters while simultaneously monitoring the removal of any duplicate or ineligible entries from the registry.

Reinforcing the importance of this mission, Reddy noted, “The strength of the party begins at the polling booth level. A strong and vigilant BLA network is essential for protecting the integrity of the electoral process and strengthening the party organization.”

Procedural Readiness for Future Challenges

The seminar was chaired by Wardhannapet MLA K.R. Nagaraju, who echoed the sentiments regarding the significant responsibility placed upon these party workers. Nagaraju underscored that the active involvement of BLAs is vital for upholding transparency during the electoral rollout. He highlighted the necessity for these representatives to become thoroughly familiar with the legal and procedural guidelines governing the special intensive revision (SIR), as this preparedness is crucial for positioning the party effectively for upcoming electoral contests.

Several other prominent figures were in attendance to show their support for the initiative, including TPCC Women’s Wing president Errabelli Swarna, TPCC general secretary Duddilla Srinubabu, and Hanamkonda District Kisan Congress chairman Pingili Venkat Ram Narasimha Reddy, alongside other senior local party leadership. Their collective presence underscored the high priority the organization is placing on the upcoming electoral roll refinements.
