Bhopal: A tragic event unfolded this week when the 17-year-old daughter of an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer was found deceased at her official residence, alarming the community. The young girl, currently a Class 12 student and a recent celebrant of her 17th birthday, was discovered hanging in one of the rooms on the second level of her family home on Tuesday afternoon.
Official sources state that Sanjeev Kumar Kanchan was at his office post while his mother, employed by the state's judicial services, was working at the Bhopal Gas Relief Department. The elder brother, currently away, was not present in the premises. The housekeeper stumbled upon the girl's body around 2 p.m., though no suicide note was found on site.
Investigation Ongoing
The police investigation is still underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death and offer support to this grieving family. Local authorities are carefully examining evidence, both physical and emotional, as well as interviewing neighbors and colleagues of Sanjeev Kumar Kanchan.
