In a tragic development reported in Visakhapatnam, a young woman was discovered dead, marking the end of her life just 40 days after her wedding. The incident, which is currently being treated as a suspicious death, occurred within the jurisdiction of the PM Palem Police Station. Authorities have initiated a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking event.
The individual has been identified as 25-year-old Yandrapu Krishnaveni, who hailed from Mentada in the Vizianagaram district. She had entered into matrimony with Yandrapu Murali on May 13 of this year. Following their marriage, the couple had established a residence in a rented home located in RH Colony, PM Palem, during the early days of June.
Investigation into the Suspicious Death
According to preliminary information provided by the police, the husband, Yandrapu Murali, left their shared home on Wednesday morning to attend to his professional duties at a private firm in the city. Krishnaveni, meanwhile, was employed at a commercial shop situated in Gopalapatnam. Upon returning to their residence later that evening, Murali discovered his wife hanging from a ceiling fan.
Promptly after this distressing discovery, Murali notified family members and contacted the local authorities. Law enforcement personnel arrived at the scene shortly thereafter to secure the premises and begin their initial evidence collection. The body of the deceased was subsequently transported to a government medical facility to undergo a post-mortem examination, which is expected to provide critical insights into the cause of death.
Senior police officials, including ACP Appala Raju, personally inspected the location where the incident took place. At this stage, investigators are working to ascertain the precise factors that led to this suspicious death. As part of the ongoing inquiry, officials are conducting thorough questioning of Yandrapu Murali, as well as family members from both sides.
