Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is kickstarting a statewide tour to propel the Telangana state forward, celebrating its formation day and unveiling a series of welfare initiatives. The tour runs until June 12, with a focus on enhancing flagship projects across key sectors like housing, agriculture, irrigation, transport, and women's empowerment.
The highlight of this campaign is the commencement of the Indiramma Phase-II Housing Scheme on June 2 at Kothari village in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district. The Chief Minister will host a house-warming ceremony for completed houses from the first phase and inaugurate the phase-two project.
Revolutionary Housing Scheme
The Indiramma Housing Scheme, initiated by Revanth Reddy in February 2025, has delivered impressive results. Within just a year and three months, nearly one lakh houses have been completed, with an additional two lakh planned to be finished soon. The Telangana government is committed to ensuring that every poor family is provided with a house, a commitment that sets it apart from others.
Under Phase II, the state will sanction 2.5 lakh Indiramma houses. Kothari village will now serve as the focal point for the launch event. Officials expect that by June 12, a total of 5,500 to 6,500 houses would have been allotted in each Assembly constituency under both phases.
Diverse Statewide Initiatives
June 3 sees a significant move as the Chief Minister lays the foundation for an integrated market project covering 239 acres in Koheda, Rangareddy district. This modern facility is expected to transform into one of Telanagana's largest agricultural hubs, promoting trade and logistics.
The Chief Minister will inspect major irrigation projects on June 4, including the Jurala Project and the Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme in Mahabubnagar district. In a region traditionally affected by droughts, these initiatives aim at providing sustainable water management solutions.
A key event is scheduled for June 5 when 553 buses procured from a hefty $199 crore budget will be distributed to women's self-help groups across the state, creating financial independence and improving public transport services significantly.
This tour not only marks the celebration of Telangana's formation day but is also a vivid demonstration of government dedication towards welfare measures. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to engage with every corner of the state through this comprehensive review and celebrations.
