Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued a clear directive to various ministries and state governments, urging them to expedite the resolution of pending infrastructure projects using a mission-mode approach. During the 52nd meeting of PRAGATI held at Seva Teerth, the Prime Minister highlighted that persistent delays in these vital developments lead to unnecessary cost escalations and ultimately deprive the public of timely benefits and essential services.

The review session covered four major infrastructure projects encompassing the road, power, industrial corridor, and metro rail sectors across four different states, with a combined financial outlay of approximately Rs 30,000 crore. Narendra Modi stressed that such critical developments require consistent monitoring at the highest administrative levels to ensure accountability and efficiency.

Enhancing Efficiency with PM GatiShakti and Digital Oversight

To streamline the implementation of these works, the Prime Minister emphasized the effective utilization of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan. This framework is intended to provide better planning and ensure that project execution remains on track. Furthermore, he directed officials to maintain regular, real-time updates of project data on the portal—including information regarding utility connections, statutory clearances, and ground-level status reports.

The administration believes that by utilizing accurate and up-to-date data, authorities can identify potential bottlenecks before they manifest into major issues. This proactive stance on infrastructure projects aims to improve coordination between diverse agencies, thereby reducing friction in the decision-making process and accelerating the pace of development across the nation.

Addressing Digital Security and Public Welfare

Beyond physical infrastructure, the review also encompassed significant social and security concerns. Regarding the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the Prime Minister advocated for the integration of advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence. He further suggested that involving local volunteers, such as NCC cadets and members of the MY Bharat initiative, could significantly bolster patient support and public awareness efforts.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the growing threats associated with cybercrime and the phenomenon of digital arrests. Expressing serious concern over the exploitation of digital platforms to defraud ordinary citizens, the Prime Minister called for a cohesive, time-bound response. He emphasized that citizens should not be burdened with the need to approach multiple departments for grievance redressal.

Narendra Modi directed all stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, and digital platforms, to enhance their coordination. By strengthening mechanisms for reporting, investigation, and incident prevention, the government aims to maintain public confidence in digital financial systems. He also urged state authorities to implement e-Zero FIR systems to ensure a swifter response to those impacted by financial fraud.
