Since its implementation, the platform has successfully facilitated the generation of Rs. 22.26 crore in total revenue, marking a substantial shift in how temple finances and devotee services are managed in the region.
Digital Transformation Through Mana Mitra
The Mana Mitra initiative was designed to enhance accessibility and efficiency for millions of devotees visiting prominent temples across the state. By integrating modern digital tools, the system allows users to seamlessly handle various religious services directly from their smartphones. Devotees can now book darshan and seva tickets, arrange for tonsure services, and submit e-Hundi donations online without the traditional burden of waiting in long physical queues. This shift toward a digital-first approach has not only improved the overall experience for pilgrims but has also brought transparency to the financial collections of these institutions.
Temple Revenue and Growth Impact
Among the participating institutions, the Sri Kalahasteeswara Swamy Temple at Srikalahasti leads the charts, having generated a remarkable Rs. 3.39 crore through the digital interface. Other significant contributors to this total include the Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Devasthanam in Annavaram with Rs. 2 crore, and the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Devasthanam in Srisailam, which recorded Rs. 1.77 crore. Furthermore, the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam in Dwaraka Tirumala, the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Vijayawada, and the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Simhachalam have also reported substantial earnings.
The rapid adoption of the Mana Mitra service is evident in recent data, which shows that approximately Rs. 12.91 crore was generated between May 11 and June 11 alone. Current usage statistics indicate that nearly one in every five darshan and seva tickets is now processed through this platform. As the popularity of these digital temple services continues to rise, the endowments department anticipates even greater participation in the coming months. This trend underscores Andhra Pradesh's successful push to modernize citizen-centric governance and solidify its leadership in public service digitalization, ultimately making spiritual engagement more convenient for the public.
