The prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders across India continue to remain stable. As reported today, the government's effort to monitor black marketing and hoarding ensures a steady supply network for both domestic and commercial users.
At Indian Oil in Patna, the price for a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains at Rs 1011, with the commercial cylinder priced at Rs 2365. In Dibrugarh, the prices are Rs 912 for the domestic and Rs 2148 for the commercial. Delhi follows closely with domestic cylinders going for Rs 913 (commercial: Rs 2078.50). Lucknow sees a domestic cylinder priced at Rs 950.50, while the cost of a commercial one is Rs 2201.
In Dehradun, domestic and commercial cylinders are available for Rs 932 and Rs 2136 respectively. Andaman's market reflects prices of Rs 989 for the domestic cylinder and Rs 2496.50 for the commercial one. In Jaipur, LPG cylinders are priced at Rs 916.50 for the domestic variant with a higher rate of Rs 2031 for commercial users.
LPG Price in Major Indian Cities
Moving to Mumbai and Kolkata: The domestic cylinder costs Rs 912.50 in Mumbai, while the commercial one is priced at Rs 2031. In Kolkata, a domestic cylinder comes at Rs 939 with a commercial price of Rs 2208. Chennai witnesses LPG cylinders priced at Rs 928.50 for domestic and Rs 2246.50 for the commercial varieties. Bengaluru's market sets the domestic cylinder's price at Rs 915.50, with the commercial cylinder priced up to Rs 2161.
Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, the prices are steady: a domestic cylinder is available for Rs 965 while a commercial one costs Rs 2321. The government's ongoing campaign emphasizes curbing black marketing and hoarding. On April 11, 2026, nearly 2,700 inspections were carried out nationwide, targeting 5.23 million domestic cylinder deliveries in just a single day.
The Indian government's strict measures to regulate the market include surprise inspections and fining or suspending licenses of distributors who violate regulations. The move aims at ensuring transparency and fair distribution of LPG resources.
