To proactively address potential water shortages and enhance long-term resource management, district officials have initiated a comprehensive, integrated survey for water bodies located within the Singur segment. This vital project covers the Jukkal, Banswada, and Yellareddy Assembly constituencies situated in Kamareddy district.

The primary objective of this government-led initiative is to secure reliable drinking water supplies while effectively conserving rainwater. By mapping local hydrology, authorities aim to establish a sustainable strategy that can mitigate the risks associated with future water scarcity across the region. Establishing Oversight for Regional Water Security

To ensure the successful execution of this task, a specialized committee has been formally established. This body includes the additional collector, the ZP CEO, the district panchayat officer (DPO), and representatives from both the groundwater department and Mission Bhagiratha. Their collective mandate is to create a robust, evidence-based plan that optimizes the distribution and utilization of water resources drawn from the Singur Reservoir.

The committee is tasked with overseeing the improvement of groundwater conservation efforts across 14 mandals within the three designated Assembly constituencies.
