Broadly faced challenges in securing LPG cylinders have been alleviated by the introduction of an innovative LPG ATM facility. In Gurugram, Haryana, a new LPG ATM has come to the market, enabling customers to quickly refill their empty gas cylinders within just 2 to 3 minutes.
Launched as a pilot project by Bharat Gas, a subsidiary of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), this latest development aims at revolutionizing customer experiences with near-instantaneous LPG refilling. Residents and customers can bring in their empty cylinders, follow an efficient digital process without long queues or agency visits.
The LPG ATM's digital mechanism allows for quick verification through a registered mobile number followed by the scanning of the cylinder’s QR code to facilitate fast payment integration via UPI, debit cards, or other digital methods. The entire refilling process is seamlessly handled with only minimal human intervention and in under 3 minutes.
Limiting its initial scope to Bharat Gas-affiliated customers, this unique service has the potential for wider implementation across cities if successful. Customers are offered not just speed but also safety enhanced by using fiber-based composite cylinders which do not rust, weighing about 15 kg and featuring a transparent body making gas levels more visible.
Moreover, consumers have access to an ATM location in Central Park Flower Valley, an area known for its modern living conveniences, facilitating quicker and comfortable management of their fuel needs when required.
