Good news for rail passengers in the coming summer! Indian Railways has announced special summer trains from Mumbai and Pune to Danapur and Samastipur. These dedicated routes aim to ease travel for individuals who return home during the holiday season.

Mumbai-Danapur Special Trains

The Pune-Danapur-Hadapsar (Pune) special train (no 01449/01450) will run daily, leaving from Pune at 3:30 PM. This train via DDU-Prayagraj Chheoki-Jabalpur-Bhusaval will stop at key locations like Buxar and Ara before arriving in Danapur at around 2:45 AM the next day. The return journey (train number 01450) departs from Danapur early, starting its route through various stops ending up in Hadapsar (Pune) by 6:15 PM.

Lokmanya Tilak-Danapur Special Trains

Another special train, the Lokmanya Tilak-Danapur special (no 01143/01144), will run daily. It departs from Lokmanya Tilak at 10:30 AM and reaches Danapur by 6:45 PM the next day after halting in Buxar and Ara. Its return journey starts early, departing from Danapur around 9:30 PM to reach Lokmanya Tilak by 7:45 AM on the third day.

Samastipur-Lokmanya Tilak Special Weekly Train

A more infrequent yet crucial service is provided via the Lokmanya Tilak-Samastipur special (no. 01043/01044). This train runs weekly from Tuesday, departing from Lokmanya Tilak at 12:15 PM until late July and stopping through key locations including Patliputra before reaching Samastipur in one night. Its return is planned for Thursdays.

These trains are designed to accommodate the surge of travelers commuting between major urban centers like Mumbai, Pune, Danapur, and Samastipur during summer holidays. With scheduled runs until early July 2026, these special services provide relief from packed coaches and ensure smoother journeys.
