Indian Railways has announced significant changes to their schedule to address the sudden increase in passengers due to the Holi festival and the onset of the academic examination season. These adjustments will allow for smoother and more comfortable journeys for train passengers.

As part of these enhancements, Indian Railways has increased the number of coaches of various types, including sleeper, second AC, first-cum-second AC, AC chair car, and general class. This adjustment aims to alleviate overcrowding and offer more seats for confirmed passengers.

Indian Railways has now added 20 sleeper coaches to the special New Delhi to Udaipur route, which will begin on March 1 and continue until April 1. This measure is expected to reduce waiting lists and improve travel experiences for passengers.

In addition to the New Delhi-Udaipur route, Indian Railways has also increased the number of sleeper coaches on several other routes, including Ajmer to Amritsar, Ajmer to Mumbai, Ajmer to Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Ajmer to Sealdah, Ajmer to Solapur, Ajmer to Sealdah, Madar to Rewari, and Ajmer to Sealdah.

This strategic move by Indian Railways comes as they prepare for the anticipated rush and ensure that all passengers have access to confirmed tickets for their journey during the Holi celebration and March travel season.
