Hyderabad Eatery Sealed For Health Violations; Fatal Hit-And-Run In Shamshabad

Authorities have taken strict action against a popular Hyderabad eatery following a severe health inspection. The Zayaka Food Court, situated near AMB Mall, has had its FSSAI license suspended by the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation food safety team. The closure comes after officials discovered alarming hygiene and safety violations during a recent audit, where the facility managed to score only 25 out of 100 points.

Health Violations and Safety Hazards at Zayaka Food Court

The inspection report revealed a disturbing list of health hazards at the premises. Inspectors uncovered evidence of an active rat infestation, including rodent droppings found among raw ingredients and physical rat burrows within the facility. Further investigations highlighted significant lapses in food storage, such as the use of a non-functional freezer, the presence of stale chicken biryani, and spoiled vegetables. Additionally, the team noted that egg-based mayonnaise was being stored under unsafe conditions.

Beyond these immediate food safety concerns, the establishment also failed to maintain essential documentation. Missing records for medical fitness of staff and inadequate pest control measures were among the key findings that led to the immediate suspension of the FSSAI license. The situation at Zayaka Food Court highlights the critical necessity for restaurants to adhere to strict public health regulations to prevent potential foodborne illnesses.
