In a move to ensure precautionary measures are taken early, IMD issued alerts for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning for Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, and West Bengal. Additionally, moderate rainfall to heavy showers have been anticipated in Sikkim, Assam, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and Kerala. These areas are likely to experience strong winds gusting up to 40 to 50 kilometers per hour during this period.
In light of these developments, farmers across these regions have been urged to take necessary precautions, especially those with Rabi crops that were recently affected by unseasonal rains and storms. The weather department emphasizes the importance of preparing for potential damages this time around.

As per the IMD, Delhi is expected to face strong winds blowing throughout the morning hours on April 13th. By the afternoon, temperatures could rise by about 3 to 4 degrees Celsius, reaching a maximum of roughly 34 degrees Celsius and a minimum of around 22 degrees. For Western UP, Easterly Winds brought by light rainfall may cause discomfort; hot, dry conditions are also anticipated in areas like Gautam Buddha Nagar, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh, Mathura, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Ghazipur, and Deoria.
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand is bracing for moderate rainfall in its higher-altitude regions, with alerts issued across several districts including Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Nainital, Chamoli, Champawat, Almora, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh. The local climate could see a significant fluctuation due to the expected downpour.
To ensure public safety and preparedness, authorities have advised all concerned stakeholders, including residents and businesses in these areas, to adopt a cautionary approach towards weather-related changes. This includes checking updates regularly to stay informed about the changing climatic patterns.
