Local law enforcement authorities in Nalgonda have successfully apprehended four suspects linked to the tragic family murder case that occurred on June 19 in Telangana Colony. The investigation, which spanned several days and involved multiple police teams, concluded with the detention of the primary accused and their accomplices near the Narketpally flyover.
Details of the Nalgonda Family Murder Case
The victims, identified as Sultan (45), his wife Haseena (40), their son Muzammil (20), and their daughter Afsara (11), were discovered deceased in their residence on June 22. Superintendent of Police Sharath Chandra Pawar confirmed that the incident was motivated by financial disputes. Syed Aslam (28), the main perpetrator, had reportedly borrowed money from Haseena at high interest rates, leading to frequent conflicts when repayment was demanded.
Investigation records reveal that Syed Aslam, alongside his wife Tabassum (28), Mohammed Sohail (26), and a local jeweler Hemanth Kumar (28), executed the crime. The group had previously attempted a break-in during February. On the night of June 19, Aslam accessed the property by scaling a perimeter wall. He subsequently attacked the family members with a knife. Following the assault, the culprits stole approximately five tolas of gold jewelry and sensitive land documents. Police noted that Aslam had researched methods for evading law enforcement online prior to the incident.
Police Recoveries and Additional Investigations
During the arrest, officers recovered three lakh rupees in cash, the stolen gold ornaments, and the weapon utilized in the assault. The gold had been pawned to Hemanth Kumar to secure a loan of 5.3 lakh rupees. This high-profile family murder case has shocked the local community, emphasizing the gravity of the crime.
In unrelated regional incidents, authorities also addressed a separate matrimony-cum-investment fraud involving 1.46 crore rupees, where four individuals were arrested for operating mule bank accounts to route illicit funds for Singapore-based cyber fraudsters. Additionally, the Chaderghat police apprehended an auto driver, Kamle Rathan, for a gold chain snatching incident on a TSRTC bus, while a tragic suicide case involving a 26-year-old private employee in Vanasthalipuram remains under investigation by local police.
