Hollywood director Carl Rinsch has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison following a conviction for defrauding Netflix out of $11 million. The filmmaker, widely recognized for his work on the 2013 production 47 Ronin, was found guilty of wire fraud and money laundering in December. Prosecutors revealed that the funds were intended for a science fiction series titled White Horse, but were instead diverted for personal use.

The Fraudulent Misuse of Funds

In addition to the prison term, Carl Rinsch has been ordered to pay $11 million in restitution.
