The much-awaited Amrit Bharat Express train service, connecting Dhanbad to South India, is set to be inaugurated on March 11, 2023.
The train will depart from Pottanur to Dhanbad instead of Coimbatore, which was its original starting point. This change impacts train schedules and routes for passengers traveling between Coimbatore and Dhanbad.
The Indian Railways approved the Pottanur-Dhanbad Amrit Bharat Express train under the new service, making it an important addition to the railway network. Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the train launch on February 2nd, coinciding with the inauguration of new trains connecting Bhopal and Dhanbad on the same day.
This new Amrit Bharat train will complement the existing railway lines, providing alternate routes for passengers. It also adds to the existing three new train services announced in Dhanbad, all within a 48-day period.
