The UN has suspended an evacuation initiative for ships in the Strait of Hormuz following a maritime attack.
A vessel in the Gulf of Oman was reportedly targeted by a drone, raising immediate security concerns.
Prior to the pause, the plan had successfully guided 57 ships and 1,100 seafarers through the region.
The IMO is currently re-evaluating safety guarantees to ensure the protection of all ships and their crews.
