A 10-year-old girl named Nurjilya Abdullah was found dead in Sepanggar after being reported missing.
Police have arrested two men aged 39 and 42 to assist with the murder investigation.
The cause of death was identified as blunt force trauma to the head and face.
The case is being treated as a murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
