A one-year-old child of a Telugu-origin family died after falling from a moving vehicle in Colton, California.
The incident occurred on June 18, with police responding to the scene near South Mt. Vernon Avenue and Centerpointe Drive.
Local authorities, including the major accident investigation team, are currently investigating how the infant fell from the vehicle.
Detectives are examining if safety measures, such as child car seats or secured doors, were in place during the transport.
