The death toll from the ammonia gas leak in Tamil Nadu has reached nine victims.
All nine deceased individuals were women, with seven from Odisha and two from Assam.
Approximately 69 people were hospitalized following the industrial accident on June 21.
Authorities have launched a formal investigation to identify the exact cause of the chemical leak.
