Summer McIntosh set a new world record in the women’s 200-metre butterfly with a time of 2:01.65.
The performance surpassed a world record that had stood since 2009.
McIntosh now holds four individual world records in international competition.
The athlete continues to compete in several additional events throughout the ongoing Canadian Swimming Trials.
