Brigadier Rachel Matjeng was dismissed from the SAPS effective 30 June 2026.
She was found guilty of misconduct involving underworld figure Vusumuzi “Cat” Matlala.
The scandal relates to a R360-million fraudulent medical services tender awarded to Medicare24.
Matjeng still faces active criminal charges of fraud and corruption in court.
