PhonePe has introduced a quarterly maintenance fee of Rs 100 for inactive digital wallets.
A wallet is considered inactive if no financial transactions are conducted through it for 365 days.
Standard UPI payments or app logins do not count as wallet activity to avoid the fee.
Users will receive a 15-day notice before fees are deducted, allowing time for a qualifying transaction.
