A petition has been filed in the Orissa High Court demanding a CBI probe into the 2008 murder of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati.
The legal action follows the disappearance of the Justice A.S. Naidu Commission report related to the killing.
Odisha Police are currently investigating the disappearance of key inquiry documents from the Chief Minister's Office.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari has suggested the reports may have been deliberately stolen rather than misplaced.
