Kerala achieved 88.53% Pulse Polio vaccine coverage on the campaign's first day.
Over 17 lakh children under five were immunized across the state.
Door-to-door campaigns are set for Monday and Tuesday to reach remaining children.
The state has remained polio-free for 26 years due to continued vigilance.
