Police launched an investigation after finding a hidden mobile phone in Kannur Central Jail.
The contraband was found buried in a bottle near a toilet in the jail's fifth block.
Recovered items included a mobile phone, SIM card, earphones, a charger, and a power bank.
A case has been registered under the Kerala Prisons and Correctional Services (Management) Act.
