The Bombay High Court cleared the removal of mangroves for the Vadhvan Port Project infrastructure.
The ruling allows the NHAI to build an eight-lane access-controlled highway linking the port to NH-48.
Proponents have committed to planting 1.33 lakh mangroves and deposited 4.83 crore for reforestation.
The port is expected to become one of the top 10 container ports globally upon completion.
