Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur flagged off the first batch of pilgrims for the 2026 Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
The pilgrimage is conducted via the Nathu La Pass, which has seen successful logistics support from the Sikkim state government.
The yatra resumed last year following a five-year suspension, marking its second year of renewed operations.
India clarified its historical and consistent position regarding the use of the Lipulekh Pass for the pilgrimage.
