Currently, there is a notable deficit in awareness regarding the diverse professional opportunities available within the NDT sector, with many fresh graduates gravitating predominantly toward software development roles. Dr. Jaiteerth Joshi, Director-General of BrahMos and president of ISNT, emphasized that Non-Destructive Testing represents a highly technology-driven domain that offers substantial growth for professionals with backgrounds in mechanical, electronics, metallurgy, and civil engineering.
Upcoming International Symposium on NDT
Hyderabad is set to become the epicenter of this industry when it hosts the 36th Annual Conference on Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE 2026) alongside the 15th International Symposium on NDT in Aerospace (AeroNDT 2026). Scheduled for November 14 to 17, this joint initiative is expected to attract over 2,000 delegates, including researchers, defense professionals, and technology experts. The event will focus on the theme of achieving excellence through innovation in strategic and economic sectors.
As the only dedicated aerospace event of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region for the latter half of 2026, AeroNDT is viewed as a crucial platform for collaboration between manufacturers and policymakers.
