The Vande Bharat Express, connecting Delhi and Jodhpur, now includes an additional stop to better serve passengers. This update comes after the inauguration of the Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Expressway on September 25 last year by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Enhancing Convenience: Additional Stop at Gandhi Nagar Jaipur
To cater to travelers' requirements, the Vande Bharat Express will now make nine stops instead of eight. The new stop includes Merta Road, Degana, Makrana, Phulera, Gandhi Nagar Jaipur, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, and Gurugram. A trial run at Gandhi Nagar Jaipur has been initiated for continued convenience until further notice.
This decision is expected to improve the boarding and alighting experience, especially for passengers around Jaipur. The revised schedule ensures a smoother journey by shortening the stop duration from 15 minutes to just two minutes.
For those traveling between Jodhpur and Delhi, train No. 26481 will depart at 5:30 am from Jodhpur, arriving in Jaipur station at 9:20 am before departing again at 9:25 am to reach Delhi by 1:30 pm on the same day. Conversely, train No. 26482 leaves Delhi Cantt at 3:10 pm, arrives in Jaipur at 7:00 pm and departs for Jodhpur at 7:05 pm, arriving there by 11:20 pm.
Additionally, the new train schedule starting March 29th has adjusted stoppage times. Train No. 26481 will now stop at Gandhi Nagar Jaipur from 9:34 am to 9:36 am, while train No. 26482 will arrive for just two minutes from 6:37 pm to 6:39 pm.
