Update: Latest LPG Cylinder Prices Across Major Indian Cities
In light of the LPG crisis post-Iran conflict, India's government has doubled supplies to migrants through FTL cylinders, impacting prices and availability in major cities.

The price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinders for domestic use in Delhi stands at approximately Rs 913, with smaller 5 kg cylinders priced around Rs 339 and Xtralite 10 kg cylinders costing about Rs 652.50. For commercial purposes, the larger cylinder sizes see higher price
Regional Pricing Variations
In Lucknow, a 5 kg domestic cylinder is available for Rs 339, while the commercial one costs Rs 2201. For Jaipur, the equivalent prices are Rs 916.50 and Rs 2031, respectively. Mumbai sets its domestic cylinder price at around Rs 912.50 and charges Rs 2031 for a commercial one.
In Kolkata, today's LPG cylinder pricing is Rs 939 for the domestic model, whereas it fetches Rs 2,208 for a commercial unit. Meanwhile, in Chennai, consumers pay Rs 928.50 for a domestic cylinder and Rs 2,246.50 for a commercial one. In Hyderabad, a small LPG cylinder is available for Rs 965, with the larger commercial version priced at Rs 2,321.
For smaller and specialized cylinders:, a 2 kg refill costs around Rs 254, while a new domestic cylinder comes in at approximately Rs 962. Non-domestic 5 kg cylinders are priced close to Rs 549. Additionally, Indane's response to the Iran conflict includes offering PNG connections as an alternative to LPG.The Indian government is taking steps to mitigate the LPG crisis by increasing supply and providing crucial relief to migrant workers. Through a government initiative, daily sales of 5 kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinders to migrant workers have doubled. Each state now receives substantially more 5 kg FTL cylinders, which are distributed with the help of oil marketing companies (OMCs).
Impact: This move aims to ensure easy access to cooking fuel for migrant workers, expecting daily sales of around 100,000 cylinders. Since March 23rd, approximately 6.6 lakh such cylinders have been sold across the country.
