Director Hemanth Madhukar believes that actress Tripti Dimri's role in the upcoming blockbuster 'Spirit,' co-starring Prabhas and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, will take audiences aback. As Tripti joined the shoot in Hyderabad recently, she is set to deliver a compelling performance that goes beyond mere glamour.

Layered Female Characters in 'Spirit'

Hemanth Madhukar clarifies that Sandeep Reddy Vanga's female characters are far from superficial. 'People often misunderstand the way Sandeep writes his female roles, focusing only on a few intimate scenes,' says Hemanth. He elaborates by stating that directors like Sandeep understand the importance of giving strong and layered performances to the actresses.

As an illustration, Madhukar points to Shalini Pandey's role in 'Arjun Reddy.' She played a character who appeared primarily in simple costumes yet had significant emotional depth. Despite not being on-screen much, her performance was highly appreciated for its nuance and impact.

Similarly, Rashmika Mandanna's acting in the movie 'Animal' is another example of powerful female performances. In this film, she played a strong wife dealing with internal conflicts and family dynamics. Her role earned high praise from critics even though the film was largely hero-centric.

Hemanth Madhukar stresses that Sandeep Reddy Vanga strives for balanced storytelling, ensuring heroes, heroines, and villains all get well-rounded development in his films. With regards to the recent speculation about Tripti Dimri replacing Deepika Padukone in 'Spirit,' Hemanth dismisses these rumors. He says, 'I don't believe in comparing actresses; directors cast based on suitability for the role. I think Tripti will definitely meet expectations.'
